A recent fashion show held in Castlecomer Estate Yard raised €1,200 for Castlecomer District Hospital.
The event which was organised by Lilian Boland who owns a boutique in the Castlecomer Estate Yard, showcased clothing lines which she imports from France and Denmark, including Greenhouse, Friendtex, Miss Captain and Lady Captain.
Local women modelled the styles and some 200 people turned out to support the event which was held in the exhibition space in the Jarrow Cafe.
A cheese and wine reception greeted guests and a wonderful evening of fashion and fun ensued.
Errol Delaney, proprietor of the Estate Yard made a guest appearance on the catwalk along with MC John Coogan who introduced the show to the audience on the night.
The event was such a success that Ms Boland has confirmed that the fashion show will be an annual event and she pledged that once again the proceeds from the show will go to local charities.
She thanked local businesses and supporters of the event for their generosity and added that the Castlecomer District Hospital was indeed a very worthwhile cause.
