Local photographer ‘Maria Of Kilkenny’ is to be featured this Monday evening on RTE’s popular Nationwide programme.
Dunphy has developed a reputation for excellence in the field of photography and particularly for her Newborn portraits which are to be featured on Monday night.
Maria Dunphy joined her parents Oliver and Noeline in the family business “Oliver of Kilkenny” in 1988. Her passion for photography is inherited from her parents and indeed her grandmother Eileen who all worked as photographers in the studio established by Oliver in 1966 on the High Street.
Maria has worked to develop her own unique style of photography deciding to specialise in the art of portraiture. Her work has been recognised through the many awards she has received.
Her particular passions are dog and newborn portraits.
She is an Associate member of the Irish Professional Photographers Association achieving this qualification in 2010.
