Senior hurling:
The early season preparations for the first round of the 2011 league/championship campaign continued last Sunday morning with a useful friendly against Mount Sion (Waterford ) in Larchfield.
The fixture was notable for the fact that long term injured club stalwart, Gary Whelan made his return to action with an impressive display to bolster the forward division.
U-10/U\
12 friendlies:
The U-12 selectors welcomed their compatriots from Ballygunner (Waterford ) to the club last weekend and played two very competitive fixtures against the talented visitors. Meanwhile, the U-10 management entertained a large travelling party from Castleknock (Dublin ).
St Kieran’s College:
The Village club send their best wishes to the management team and players of St Kieran’s College as they seek to put back to back All-Ireland College’s titles together against Limerick’s, Ard Scoil Ris, on Saturday in Thurles.
