In round seven of the spring trios bowling league, the Pin Killers came away with a hard earned three points against The Beginners a team made up mainly by staff from MacDonagh Junction. The Beginners won one match but the Pin Killers greater aggregate score meant they secured the all important bonus point.
The 200’s have moved into second place courtesy of a 5-0 win over Kilkenny Harriers. Shane Comerford was the key player for The 200’s scoring 208 in one game before his handicap was added which was the best “scratch” score on the night. Shane has been in particular good form during this league, featuring regularly as the top scorer.
Riverview are hanging onto third spot despite going down 5-0 against the Beans. The Dream Team also surrendered the maximum number of points to the No Namers as the latter ran out 5-0 winners. Standings at the top of the table may change before round 8 as the Kilkenny Kingpins have to play the A Team on Thursday.
