The Coon-based drama group Kilquan Players will hold their annual production from Friday February 18 to Sunday 20.
This year’s play will be Autumn Fire by TC Murray, a melodramatic tragedy set in the south of Ireland during the 1920s.
The play centres around the love interests of Owen Keegan and his relationships with his two adult children. This year’s cast consists of eight actors Frances Sweeney, Maria Purcell, Michael Somers, Tom Brennan, Anne Tunstead, Mark Haughney, Sabrina Brennan and Gordon Watchorn.
The play is directed by Michael Casey. In addition, there is a big back room cast.
Performances will take place in Coon Hall from February 18 - 20 at 8pm nightly. Admission is €10, and bookings can be made by contacting Thomas Brennan on 087 2228911 or 056 4443958. Early booking is advisable. Part of the proceeds will go towards local charities and groups.
