Deenside Wheelers are embarking on their first fundraising cycle this weekend in Castlecomer.
On Sunday, February 6 the newly formed cycling club will mark their official launch with a charity cycle event.
The Castlecomer club cycle from ‘Comer to Kilkenny and back again in aid of Focus Ireland the charity for homeless people.
The club is asking all cycling enthusiast with roadworthy bikes and helmets to sign up for the challenge at Europspar in Castlecomer.
Registration for the event starts at 9.30am with the cycle beginning at 10am.
There is no set entrance fee but instead the club is asking participants to donate what they can when registering. There will be tea for participants in the Castlecomer Community School after the event.
