Cllr Tomás Breathnach, (Labour Party ) has been informed by the HSE that last month its advisory committee approved the appointment of a second neurology consultant for the south east.
It is expected that the recruitment process will commence shortly. This means that with two consultants in place it will be possible to develop specialist roles and to expand the outreach services currently provided in Kilkenny to South Tipperary and Wexford.
