With the January blues set to kick in it’s only right that the people of Kilkenny and surrounding areas should be given a good laugh during these non-negotiable times.
It is fitting then that a comedian who still wears his heart on his sleeve should generate some heat and by doing so warm the cockles of even the hardest hearts.
Andrew Maxwell is one such comedian. Never one to shy away from controversy he can go for the jugular of any taboo subject and still maintain an innocence in his delivery that lets the audience know he is funny, knowledgeable and rebellious.
The Laughing Stock Comedy Club founder and MC PAradise PAddy states "this comedy club is only going to tolerate comedy that says something as opposed to comedy that says nothing, if ya know what I mean."
Andrew Maxwell and support will appear live in Dempsey's John Street Kilkenny on Friday January 14. Doors open at 9pm. Showtime is at 10pm sharp.
Tickets €15 and are limited from Dempsey's Bar John St.
