Ireland’s oldest surviving townhouse and Kilkenny’s newest venue presents Simon Fagan live at The Hole In The Wall, on January 15.
Simon Fagan blends elements of gospel and folk with acoustic rock, and is not your typical Irish singer songwriter. Simon and his band generate a big American sound.
Since the release of his new album in May ‘Outside Looking In’ Simon has toured heavily throughout Ireland and the UK and the States, performing on no fewer than nine primetime BBC radio shows, Newstalk’s Weekend Blend and Today with Pat Kenny on RTE radio here in Ireland.
Fagan has travelled as far as Egypt, where he and his band performed sold out shows in Cairo, Sharm El Sheik and Dahab. Simon has previously opened for Lionel Richie, Smokey Robinson and Laura Izibor.
No stranger to Kilkenny, Simon played one of the most talked about performances in Billy Byrnes at this year’s Rockfall Festival in aid of the O’Neill Centre. Simon makes a welcomed return to Kilkenny to play a gig at The Hole In The Wall, the venue’s first music gig of 2011. Local musician, Little Black Wren will play support on the night. Admission €5. Doors: 8pm. For more information visit www.holeinthewall.ie or find the venue on facebook.
