James Ryall retires from Inter-county scene

James Ryall announced his retirement earlier this week from inter-county hurling. There was a lot of speculation in September that the Graig-Ballycallan man would retire after Kilkenny’s defeat to Tipperary in this years All-Ireland final and this has now been confirmed.

The 30 year old will continue to play for his Graig-Ballycallan club. Ryall, joined the Kilkenny panel in 2002 and has won six All-Ireland titles under Brian Cody, but hadn’t featured as a regular starter in recent seasons.
