Celebrities to serve it up for local charities

The Kilkenny Advertiser has announced its team to ‘Serve it Up’ at next weekend’s bumper charity event organised by Kilkenny Business Women’s Network.

The Advertiser team consists of Sandra Barry, Bronagh Power, Deirdre O’ Reilly, Naoise Coogan and a special guest. The team is preparing its table-waiting skills in advance of the big event in the hope of coming out tops in table waiting contests on the night!

Several teams have already been confirmed for the occasion which is being held in aid of Amber Women’s Refuge and the Good Shepherd Centre for Homeless Men.

They include the Dragons which consist of local man, Bobby Kerr, legal eagles — the solicitors, Fianna Fail, Fine Gael, the Greens, Labour, the doctors, the firemen, sporting heroes and the local media.

The event takes place in Hotel Kilkenny On Saturday November 13, and tickets are currently on sale so book your table today if you have not already done so.

To get the evening off to a good start Hotel Kilkenny is sponsoring a cosmopolitan cocktail reception and guests will be entertained by the Thukolo Gospel Choir. The celebrity teams will be graded by the guests on their waiting skills and a winner will be announced by the end of the evening. There will be a bumper raffle, and the evening will round off with dancing to the fabulous Memphis Cats into the early hours.

The event is not black tie but guests are asked to dress to impress!
