Los Langeros play the Pumphouse on Saturday October 30, as part of a tour they have been doing with Fearghal McKee (Whipping Boy ) to promote their recently released album.
Los Langeros are a demented, concoction of country-tinged goat-punk rockabilly.
The early incarnation busked the streets of Melbourne, to various rapturous and violent reactions, when Phil Langero met the mercurial Glaswegian artist, The Nodge, in Victoria, Australia. They reformed having met again back in the swampy depths of Cork, enlisting electric mandolin player Pedro Dolphino.
Los Langeros have been festival regulars with Electric Picnic, Kilkenny Rhythm ‘n Roots, Waterford’s Spraoi and Galway Arts Festival.
‘Stick With Your Species’ is the second single release from their album ‘This is Normal’ which was launched at this year’s Electric picnic in September.
