Well-known Kilkenny Volkswagen dealership Laharts Garage, situated on the Waterford Road on the outskirts of the city, was one of two Irish VW dealers which received the 2010 Volkswagen Service Quality Award recently.
The awards were presented at a gala event held in Wolfsburg, Germany, and Laharts, alongside Newmarket Motors in Cork, was voted by customers to deliver exceptional levels of service quality.
The pair were successful in winning a competition that has an entry list of 6,300 service partners from 27 countries.
The awards ceremony, which was held at the Volkswagen Automuseum, was preceded by an exciting programme of driving events and other highlights, and is a major boost for the local dealers.
Alan Bateson, Volkswagen Ireland aftersales manager, commented: “The name of Volkswagen must not only be synonymous with outstanding vehicles, but also with top all-round service.
“Our customers will only keep coming back if they are truly satisfied. That is why we must make every encounter with the Volkswagen brand a positive experience.”
