J1: Kilkenny 47-0 Wexford
It was a perfect day for rugby with Kilkenny’s first home game in the Leinster League. Visitors Wexford were presented with an immaculately prepared main pitch, a credit to grounds man Jimmy McGarry.
Following a disappointing loss away to Longford last week Kilkenny got back to winning ways by providing spectators with a feast of good rugby. Kilkenny’s organised and structured approach to the game provided a platform of clinical running rugby which saw six tries scored by combined forwards and backs and running out winners — Kilkenny 47-0 Wexford.
