Kats Theatre Group is holding auditions for its forthcoming theatre festival this winter.
The group is hoping to recruit some new members and hopes that many of the old members will also go along and take part in the shows.
Paddy Manning and Willie Ryan will be directing two one-act plays which will be performed on the one night, so audiences will get to see two plays for the price of one.
Paddy Manning urged people to go out and get involved.
“Kats Theatre group is a lot of fun and we hope that people will come out and get involved. If nothing else it will pass the long winter nights and introduce people to new friends.
“Of course there is a huge focus on the drama, and the auditions will seek out the talent available on the night and hopefully there will be something for everyone. However, for those who do not get a part - we would be hoping that they might get involved in a different capacity such as front of house, backstage, sound or lighting. There are lots of jobs for interested participants,” he said.
The auditions are being held on Tuesday next September 28 in Cleere’s bar on Parliament St.
Interested actors and crew will need to be free on the nights from November 24 - 27 when the shows will be performed and also for rehearsals in the weeks prior to the performance.
All (over 18s ) are welcome to attend. No experience is necessary.
