Members of Kilkenny Musical Society and prospective members for the coming year are invited to a get-together at Kytelers Inn this Friday night September 10 at 7pm.
The evening will celebrate the society’s success in the AIMS awards for their production of “Oliver”, where David Heffernan won Best Director, Alison Doyle Best Actress, Kevin Reade Runner Up in Best Actor and the society runner up for the Best Overall Show Award and Best Technical.
The occasion will also allow the society to announce initial plans for the staging of “The Hired Man” at the Watergate next April. This will be a huge undertaking and if there are any adult singers out there who would like to be involved in a very powerful and dramatic singing show, they are urged to get in touch.
