Hurling meets Ten Pin Bowling at KBowl

As Kilkenny’s Cats continue their ‘drive for five’, the fervour surrounding their All-Ireland push has been taken to extremes by some people at KBowl in MacDonagh Junction this week.

KBowl mascot, Billy the Bowler set about trying a new game, a cross between hurling and ten pin bowling.

It involves using a hurley to hit the bowling ball. And unsurprisingly he has not managed a strike yet.

KBowl is open from 11am to 11pm seven days a week.

Bowling rates start from as little as €5 per person per game and parking is free after 6pm.

A new league for adults will start on September 21 with free trial nights on 7 and 14.

A new juniors bowling club will start on Saturday 11 from 11am to 12 noon for children aged 6 to 12.

KBowl are working on the rules and equipment specifications of this new hybrid game before it will be played by the public.
