Walsh in the clear as he gears up for All-Ireland final

Kilkenny senior hurling management and supporters breathed a massive sigh of relief as news broke on Monday that All-star Hurler of the Year Tommy Walsh has been given the all clear and will be fit to line out with Kilkenny in the All-Ireland Hurling final against Tipp on Sunday, September 5.

Walsh picked up a shoulder injury during a senior hurling league game against James Stephens on Sunday last when he clashed with fellow county player Jackie Tyrrell.

After a series of x-rays on Monday afternoon it was confirmed that he damaged the acromioclavicular joint in his left shoulder. This joint affects the ability to raise the arm above shoulder level. However, he will be ok for the final following treatment over the coming days.
