Kilkenny Business Women’s Network annual ball is imminent and this year, one lucky winner will drive away in an MG Roadster which is currently on show in O’Dwyers Garage on the Waterford Road.
One of the biggest business events on Kilkenny’s social calendar, the Network Ball will this year take place on Saturday November 1 at Hotel Kilkenny and is sponsored by Statestreet International.
The event has raised over €125,000 for local charities since it was set up five years ago.
This year’s beneficiary charities are the much-publicised Susie Long Hospice Fund and GROW.
Kilkenny Business Women’s Network (BWN ) supports women in business in Kilkenny city and county. While maintaining an individual identity, the organisation works closely with local business support groups to increase the organisation’s profile and allow for networking opportunities for the members. Kilkenny BWN fills a gap in support structures for women who work outside of the home offering encouragement and training in their professional lives while providing a social outlet where lifelong friends are made.
Each year Kilkenny BWN gives something back to the community that supports them in business by organising a charity event.
In recent years this has taken the form of the Network Ball, a hugely popular and glamorous event, which is now firmly at the top of Kilkenny’s social calendar. The 2008 Network Ball on November 1 commences at 7.30pm with a Cosmopolitan Cocktail reception followed by a five course dinner with wine.
The main raffle prize this year - the fabulous 1966 MG Roadster is the main attraction of the evening and one lucky winner will get to drive the car home- probably the next day!
The chance to win this beautiful car and a host of other prizes is only available to ball guests, as raffle tickets are only on sale at the ball.
So get your tickets now for €125.00, from Kilkenny Network Ball Committee member Michelle Hill on (086 ) 606 1346.
