Minister with responsibility for forestry Sean Connick will open Coillte’s Healthy Forests, Healthy People exhibition at the Abhainn Rí Festival in Callan.
The Minister will meet with the people attending the festival events and chat with organisers and visitors alike.
The Healthy Forests Healthy People event is open to the public and all are welcome to attend at 7pm on Saturday evening July 31 at the national school venue on the Kilkenny Road (refreshments provided ). From there the group of festivalgoers will move to the Abbey Meadow where Minister Connick will plant a tree for the town to launch the Renewable Energy strand of Callan’s Festival.
