Kilkenny’s only ten pin bowling centre, KBowl in MacDonagh Junction is running a weekly singles competition every Tuesday.
It starts at 8pm and will continue until mid September. Unlike a league format which continues over a set number of weeks and rewards the most consistent bowlers, the Tuesday summer singles will have a nightly winner.
The entry fee is €12, €5 of which is put towards a cash prize at the end of the night. The winning cash prize depends on the number of entrants. The competition is played over two games. To give everyone a fair chance handicaps will be used. If one does not have a handicap they will get a provisional one when they first play.
KBowl manager, Martina Kenny says, “ten pin bowling is great fun, it is a sociable way to relax and meet up with friends. The summer singles competition is a bit of craic and participants certainly do not need to be experienced bowlers. Everyone is welcome”.
So if you are looking for something to do midweek, that does not involve too much physical exertion or a hangover but yet is good fun, then make your way to KBowl in MacDonagh Junction every Tuesday night at 8pm.
