Kilkenny Business Women’s Network have come up with a very clever way of fundraising this year, in conjunction with the two local charities Amber Women’s Refuge and the Good Shepherd Centre for Homeless Men.
On Saturday, November 13, at Hotel Kilkenny, local celebrities will ‘Serve It Up’ offering diners an evening of good food and entertainment.
Dinner will be served by teams of local celebrities such as Mick Galway, Ducksie Walsh, Cllr Andrew McGuinness, KCLR96fm presenters and Senator Michael Lanigan, to name but a few.
Guests can book the team they want to serve them.
Hotel Kilkenny is sponsoring a Cosmopolitan Cocktail Reception to get the evening off to a good start, and then the fun begins. The celebrity teams will be graded by the guests, and a winner will be announced by the end of the evening.
As usual, there will be a fantastic raffle, and the evening will round off with dancing to the fantastic Memphis Cats.
President of the Network, Dee Gibney said, “The Network took a break from its fundraising last year, but this year we’re back with a bang — a gala event with a difference.
“We see this as a really good night out, with the added bonus of supporting two very deserving charities.”
The ‘Serve It Up’ evening was launched last Thursday June 24 in the Ormonde Hotel.
Tickets cost €50 for the night and can be booked by contacting Trish Finegan on 087 7565376, or Dee Gibney on 087 6884723.
