Get kids cooking at Summer Cookery Camp

Train the kids from a young age in the kitchen and send them to a fun and tasty cookery course for a week this summer.

Patricia Hennessy is hosting children’s’ cookery courses at Colaiste Pobail Osrai on Ormonde Road in the city for two weeks in July for children aged between 7 - 14 years.

Children are invited to come along and take up position at one of the cookery work stations in the brand new home economics room at the school where they will learn the skills to prepare and cook tasty fun and nutritious meals for themselves and all the family

The Summer Cookery Camps will take place every day between 10am – 2pm.

Patricia will teach the children about weighing and measuring, their own ingredients, the importance of fresh produce and she will inform them about making these foods into tasty meals, that they will love to eat after their hard work.

Some of the meals the children will prepare will include pasta, home-made pizza, breads, soups, smoothies, home made lemonade, and biscuits.

The camps can each cater for up to 14 children and they take place from July 12–16 and July 19 – 23.

Parents are advised to book children in quickly to avoid disappointment. All ingredients are included in the course. All the children require for the classes is their own apron.

Patricia was trained in Ballymaloe and also returned to teach at the college following her training. For further information or reservations, contact Patricia on 086 3062842.
