Eamon Gilmore to visit Kilkenny today

The Labour Party Leader, Eamon Gilmore, will be in Kilkenny and Carlow today in a planned constituency visit and walkabout.

Mr Gilmore will be joined on his visit by Nessa Childers, MEP for Ireland East, and Cllr Ann Phelan, the Labour Party's General Election candidate for Carlow Kilkenny.

Mr Gilmore’s first stop is the Castlecomer District Hospital where he will meet with staff, patients and members of the Friends of Castlecomer District Hospital at 3pm.

At 4pm Mr Gilmore will come to Kilkenny city and visit the award winning and Oscar nominated Cartoon Saloon, at the Maltings.

At 4.30 the Labour Party leader will visit State Street International Ireland Limited office, at the Business and Technology Park on the Ring Road.

Mr Gilmore will return to Kilkenny city at 5pm to meet and greet the people on the streets before he heads for Carlow for a walkabout at 7pm where he will attend the launch of the Eigse Carlow Arts Festival.
