A trip to Tipp is on the cards for Kilkenny Archaeological Society, who are this year breaking with tradition and going outside of Kilkenny for their first annual outing.
Holy Cross Abbey in County Tipperary (north ) is the location of the first event and places for this popular trip are available for reservation.
The popular picnic coach outing takes place this Saturday (May 29 ) departing from Dean Street at 2.30pm, (note the small change of departure point from that in the official programme published in December ).
Pre-booking of the picnic coach seats is requested by calling into or ringing Rothe House 772 2893, while all are invited to bring their own picnic material.
