A popular farmer who was killed in an accident on his farm last weekend was laid to rest this week.
It is believed that local man, Eamon Kealy died when his tractor turned over and landed on him on Sunday afternoon. The accident took place on a farm in Castlewarren shortly before 3.50pm.
The 60 year old well-known farmer was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was taken to Waterford Regional Hospital where a post mortem examination was carried out.
Two separate investigations into the death are being undertaken by the Health and Safety Authority and the Gardaí, who were at the scene of the accident.
Mr Kealy’s funeral took place on Tuesday where large crowds came to pay their respects to his grief-stricken family.
Mr Kealy is survived by his wife Mary and his five children, grandchildren, and extended family.
