Kilkenny-based singer-songwriter Mick Hanly is to record his newest musical offering in front of a live audience in Kilkenny next week.
Fans can go along to the event which will include special guests Christy Moore, Mary Black and Triona ni Dhomhnaill.
The public are invited along to the Set Theatre on May 13, to be part of the show.
Speaking to the Kilkenny Advertiser this week, Hanly said that he was very excited about the live performance which will be recorded as a live show.
“I will be showcasing all of my own work and Christy, Mary and Triona will be appearing also on certain tracks. I am delighted that they will be coming to Kilkenny to help me with this DVD - it is something that grew out of a much smaller idea and mushroomed into a live recording - which is fantastic.”
Hanly will be busy over the summer months making appearances with his partner in music, Andy McGlynn at the Listowel Writers Week and they will also take in other performances in Kerry,
Hanly lives in Thomastown in County Kilkenny. Tickets for the live performance are on sale at the theatre.
