Whether you are in business or thinking of starting a business, South-East Enterprise Week 2008, which takes place next week from October 13 to 17 will provide you with valuable information to enable you to either start or to continue running a successful business.
A number of scheduled seminars and presentations covering a wide range of topics will also provide an opportunity to network with over 200 attendees and meet those who can help take you where you want to go.
No matter what you do or where you go, you will find that the spirit of enterprise is alive and well in the south-east and this will be very apparent next week with seminars taking place in Kilkenny, Waterford city and county, Carlow, Tipperary, and Wexford.
In Kilkenny a number of guest speakers will also be on hand to offer advice and experience, including former minister, TD and founder of Celtic Bookmakers, Ivan Yates, who will give a talk at the Regional Conference, which will commence at 5pm in Hotel Kilkenny on Thursday October 16.
Other events taking place in Kilkenny include an all-day mentoring clinic on how to use the Internet and IT effectively in your own business hosted by the Kilkenny County Enterprise Board on Monday October 13.
If you would like information on rural development funding opportunites in the food, tourism and renewable energy sectors, you could attend a presentation to be held in The Newpark Hotel on The Castlecomer Road at 8.30pm.
One of the most important components of running your own business is how to market it, and if you would like some valuable tips and advice, then a lunchtime seminar hosted by Dr Mairead Brady from Trinity College Dublin, on understanding the fundamentals of marketing practice and how to apply them to your business may be of some interest.
And if you are a farmer, and feel you would benefit from one-to-one advice on grants, information, supports and entitlements to farmers you could attend a two hour and a half hour clinic to be held in the Glenmore Hall, Glenmore on Wednesday morning October 17.
