Exciting young singer songwriter Derek Ryan will play for the first time at the Club House Hotel on Patrick Street this Saturday night, April 24.
Derek first sprang onto the music scene as the lead singer of boy band D-side. The band was a huge success with several Meteor nominations, a multi-platinum selling single ‘Real World’, three top tens in the UK charts, and a number one single and sell out tour in Japan. Following record deals with Warner Music and Universal, the band had run its course and Derek returned to his beloved live gigging.
At the age of 26, Ryan is now a seasoned pro and returns to Ireland having worked on the big stage and pub scene alike, perfecting his craft. Derek is currently booking in many avenues of music including his reputable and loved one man show. Reading the crowd, he performs a mix of modern chart hits, Irish folk and classic anthems, approaching the gig with a delicate balance of acoustic songs and backing tracks, embracing the needs of varying venues with clientele both young and old.
