Kilkenny’s Ian Dowling has been ruled out of action ahead of Saturday's Magners League tie against the Ospreys. Dowling is nursing a knee injury that will see him out of action until next week when he is expected to make a full recovery.
The Munster winger sustained his knee injury in the Heineken Cup quarter-final against Northampton Saints. However a recent scan on Dowling’s knee confirmed his injury was not as bad as feared. Despite Dowlng’s injury his career has gone from strength to strength - he won his first cap with the Irish International Rugby Union Team on their 2009 summer tour of North America when he lined out against Canada on May 23, 2009 and big things are expected of the talented player in this year’s campaign. Munster v Ospreys will kick off this Saturday at 6.30pm in Thomond Park.
