New retail business for Glanbia in ‘Comer

Castlecomer’s newest Glanbia CountryLife Store is being officially opened this weekend to great fanfare.

On Friday April 9 between 3pm – 4.30pm visitors to the store will get the opportunity to meet some of the Kilkenny hurlers and see the Liam McCarthy Cup

On Saturday April 10, there is a host of activities laid on for the day beginning at 11.00am with a Garden Centre Walk and gardening Q&A with horticulturist Naomi McDonnell.

There will be a second walk at 12.30pm.

At 1.30pm a garden Design Workshop will be hosted by horticulturist Robert Challoner and at 1.50pm the Beat Fleet from Beat 102-103 arrive to liven up the afternoon’s entertainment.

Between 2pm – 5.30pm Beat 102-103 broadcasting live from the store with live performances by Abbey Folk trad band and an exhibition performance by Michelle Malone Irish Dancing Group. At 3.30pm the official ribbon cutting ceremony will take place by Racehorse Trainer Jim Bolger.

On Sunday April 11, the special offers continue in-store, and there will be further gardening Q&A with horticulturist Naomi McDonnell.

All are welcome to the store for the weekend activities.
