U8 Freebooters v Fort Rangers

Freebooters and Fort Rangers played under floodlights in Scanlon Park last Monday night with some excellent football played by both sides.

Scorers for Freebooters were Leon Hayes (three ), Alan Thompson (two ), Thomas Nugent (two ) and Jamie Phelan (one ).

 

 U11 Division 1

Thomastown Utd v Freebooters A

Booters’ under 11As had a good win against Thomastown in Utd Park to remain top of Division 1.

The Blues took the lead after four minutes and continued to dominate the game throughout. Goalscorers for the Blues were Christopher Phelan, Craig Hayes, Edward Moylan, Brian O'Neill, Andy Walsh, Ross Whelan, Joe Banville, and Evan Swan.

 

U11 Division 2

Freebooters B 6-1 Highview Athletic

The u11Bs continued their good run of late with a comfortable victory over Highview Athletic. 

The Blues took the lead with a goal from David Grad only for Highview to equalise within minutes. John Treacy put the Blues ahead with two excellent goals to make it 3-1 at the break. The second half was evenly contested for the first 15 minutes until an Andy Parsons’ corner kick ended up in the net after deflecting off a Highview defender. ‘Booters continued to press on and were rewarded with two further goals from Dean Brennan.   

 

U13 Division 1

Freebooters 4-1 Highview Athletic

The Freebooters’ u13s had to fight hard to earn three points against a strong Highview Athletic side. The Graiguenamanagh boys took a well deserved lead into the half time break leading 1-0.

Some stern talking at half time to the Blues players paid dividends with them starting the second half with a lot more purpose. Booters equalised through Danny Bolger after good work by Bobby Jo Walsh. Bolger put the Blues ahead with a brave header and went on to complete his hat trick with Carl Gleeson adding the fourth. Best for Blues were Danny Bolger, Luke Scanlon, and Alan Phelan. Best for Highview Darragh Joyce and Danny Fitzgerald.

 

U15 Division 1

Freshford Town 1-3 Freebooters

The Blues u15s continued to keep pressure on the league leaders with a 3-1 victory over Freshford Town. Jason Hennessy put Booters ahead after 15 minutes, with Freshford equalising five minutes later.

Freshford finished the second half the stronger but the score remained at 1-1. Freebooters took the lead again six minutes after the re-start through Nathan West, with Lee Johnstone making it 3-1 seven minutes later.
