The HSE intends to re-instate Community Welfare Services in Ferrybank as a matter of urgency according to Cllr Tomás Breathnach.
It was not possible to provide this service in the area in recent times with the result that people from Ferrybank had to travel to Mullinavat, Mooncoin and Piltown to avail of services from the Community Welfare Office.
According to Cllr Breathnach the HSE is hoping to identify a suitable premises for this purpose. Thus this much valued local service should soon become available again in the Ferrybank area.
