Kilkenny is about to become the Jiu-Jitsu capital of Europe when the Annual Gathering of the Clans will take place next month - March 5 and March 6 in the Dragons Lair Martial Arts & Fitness Centre.
The Annual Gathering of the Clans is a weekend of seminars and training with the foremost martial arts instructors in Europe. This year’s weekend will be hosted by Renshi Larry McEnroe 5th Dan Black Belt. This year’s gathering is expected to be the best yet and will include the very best of guest instructors - Paul Kung seventh Dan Switzerland, Oliver Gugel seventh Dan Germany, Helder Nunes sixtth Dan Portugal, Olu Bamgbose eighth Dan England, Frank Nickel 4th Dan Germany, Rainer Grytt seventh Dan Germany, Noel McHugh fifth Dan Ireland, Herbert Bruns sixth Dan Germany, Bernard Doyle fifth Dan Ireland, Andreas Rubesam fifth Dan Germany and Jose Peral fourth Dan Spain. There will be six training areas on the go over the weekend featuring Jiu-Jitsu, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, MMA techniques, and full-contact kickboxing.
