The Samaritans of Carlow and Kilkenny are to receive funding of €100,000 towards the cost of purchase and renovation of their premises at Abbey View, Dean Street, Kilkenny.
Fianna Fail Deputy John McGuinness has welcomed the news.
He said, “I’m delighted to confirm that the Samaritans will receive this funding as the work they undertake has helped so many people and should not be taken for granted.
“The funding comes from the National Lottery funds and is paid directly to the organisation,” he said
