Deputy Phil Hogan has repeated his call to the Minister for Agriculture to reconsider his decision to close the Kilkenny Veterinary Office.
The Fine Gael TD proposed to the Minister that a docking station for officials to deal with farming queries be maintained in Kilkenny.
The Minister in his reply in Dail Eireann last week did not rule out such a docking station when he said that "where particular arrangements are identified which would benefit service delivery and operational needs, these will be considered on the basis of an agreed business case."
