The Joint Club AGM of Castlecomer Golf Club took place recently and the election officers have been confirmed as follows: President Betty Owens. Election of Committee: Men’s Captain Joe O’Donnell. Vice captain Michael Healy. Ex Officio Richard Boland. Ladies Club captain Claire Dowling. Vice captain Margaret Furlong. Ex Officio Marie Gannon. Hon Treasurer Michael Furlong.
Election committee members are as follows: Terry Brennan, Michael Doheny, Liam Campion, Annette Stapleton, Marnie Brennan, and Justin Ring.
The seniors event took place over the weekend and the results are as follows: 1 Pat Morrissey (17 ), Ray O’Donnell (18 ), Jim White (24 ), Eamonn Murphy (23 ) 73; 2 TJ McDonald (18 ), Christy Ryan (22 ), Mai McEvoy (30 ) 72; 3 Harry Whelan (11 ), Murty Coonan (12 ), John Hardy (16 ), John Shore (23 ) 71.
Lady Captain Claire Dowling and Men’s Captain Joe O’Donnell will hold their Joint Drive In on Sunday, February 21. To commence the golfing year all members are invited to take part.
