Tullaroan’s GAA club have come up with an ingenious plan to help raise funds for much needed facilities at their club. All-Star hurler and Tullaroan player Tommy Walsh is offering his training expertise for one weekend to one lucky GAA club.
To enter the competition clubs are asked to simply fill out the application form on the website www.tommywalshcompetition.com and with €100 entrants fee and they could be the lucky club enjoying the top training. There are four prizes to be won overall with the first prize including: 30 club members from the chosen club will travel to Kilkenny for an invaluable weekend of hurling. On Friday a bus will pick up the chosen club and take them to a Kilkenny hotel. There will be a meet and greet over an evening meal with an overnight stay in Kilkenny.
On Saturday a full day of training sessions and matches with Tommy Walsh will take place which will be supported by Kilkenny county board coaches.
There will also be a speech and a questions and answer session with Kilkenny manager Brian Cody and Tommy Walsh followed by a meal and entertainment with overnight stay in Kilkenny.
On Sunday the chosen team will complete the weekend with the Kilkenny v Galway league match at Nowlan Park and then be dropped back home to their club.
Other prizes in the competition include second prize - €1000 of sports gear per province. Third prize is €500 of sports gear per province and the fourth prize offers the choice of one of four weekends at the famous Langtons Hotel.
