The pedestrian crossing at Greensbridge is an accident waiting to happen, according to local Cllr Sean O’hÁrgáin(Lab ).
“I witnessed a close shave at this junction only recently and something has to be done before someone gets killed there. And the residents living in the area are very concerned about it.”
He suggested installing temporary lights or removing the pedestrian crossing as he warned that it is only a matter of time before someone gets injured trying to cross it.
Acknowledging that it was a county council matter Cllr Paul Cuddihy (FG ) agreed that he would raise the issue at the council’s next meeting.
“I would be happy to raise it and highlight that it is a matter of grave concern.”
