This weekend Trig Promotions host's two gigs in aid of the Krystina fund (Chernobyl child ) in Cleere's Theatre, Parliament St.

Trig Promotions is a non profit music promotions company run by local musician Jimmy Trigger.

On December 18, Tool tribute band The Grudge make their return to the city with support from none other than Jimmy Trigger and on Saturday, December 19, "the big one", The Trig Promotions Christmas Party takes place with five amazing acts from all around the country on the line up. They include Chemical Addiction (Kilkenny ) Syllain Rayle (Dublin ), Modern Rik (Kilkenny ) Ozzmium (Down ) and Road Trouble (Kilkenny ).

Also on the night people are expected to be waxed, and hair will also be cut for charity. There will also be a raffle.

Jimmy Trigger said "I’m getting my pony tail chopped off on the night, so I am pretty nervous, I haven’t had a haircut in 11 years," laughed Jimmy, "but it's all for a good cause, It's a time for giving and I can't think of a better way to do it"

Two very special girls, Krystina and Olya from Vesnova Children's hospital in Belarus are in Ireland for critical medical care. Both of the girls came to Ireland to have serious operations done in Cappagh Hospital in Dublin. Both girls got through their operations successfully and they spent the remainder of their time in Ireland recuperating and getting continuous care from their Irish foster parents John and Moya and medical professionals.

Krystina returned to Belarus with Olya a month ago. They live with their new foster parents, but with little transport in her new home, John and Moya are raising funds to buy an electric wheelchair for Krystina that will give her a chance to get around while she builds her strength to walk permanently.

The proceeds from the Trig Promotions gig on Friday, December 18 (tonight ) will all go towards the wheelchair fund for Krystina.
