Deputy Phil Hogan yesterday welcomed the Government’s u-turn on the opening of the Castledermot motorway bypass.
The Carlow/Kilkenny Fine Gael TD revealed that following lobbying in Dail Eireann yesterday morning, the Minister for Transport decided to rescind his decision to delay the opening of the motorway until February.
Deputy Hogan said, “I welcome that the opening of the motorway now goes ahead as scheduled on Monday.
“This decision will have a significant impact on people and workers commuting daily to North Kildare and Dublin,” he added.
