Close call for minor finals on Sunday

Next Sunday will see Lisdowney meet the Fenians in the replay of the minor B hurling final and John Lockes meet Dicksboro in the Minor A final.

Both games will definitely be worth a look as both championships have displayed some very good hurling so far, showing that minor hurling in Kilkenny is still at its best.

Lisdowney will face the Fenians once again on Sunday in what should be another great game for the minor sides. In the first match, both teams scored some great points from all directions as all 30 players on the field performed to their best. Both teams are well-prepared and I feel it will be another close finish.

The Dicksboro and John Lockes match should again be another close finish. Dicksboro gained their entrance to the final after a comprehensive win over Paulstown. Dicksboro looked comfortable throughout the game which showed on the scoreboard and the Barrow-Rangers never really got within their reach.

John Lockes had a more competitive game to reach the final but displayed some really strong hurling against the Mullinavat side. They were certainly the dominant side on the day.

Both games are hard to call and it will be interesting to see the results at the final whistle.
