On Friday night the Kilkenny Top Pro martial arts club had its official opening. Special guest TD Bobby Aylward, who was instrumental in helping the club find the funding and in the development of the new state of the art combat centre, was on hand to cut the ribbon and officially open the club. After a tour of the premises and chatting with some of the members and fighters Mr Aylward congratulated everybody and guaranteed his ongoing support for the club.
Also at the opening was Dariusz Buczkowski managing director of the Newpark Medical Centre who has been looking to get involved with the martial arts club. The Newpark Medical Centre will now officially be the Top Pro medical adviser in all matters. Members of the club will now enjoy discounts on GP, physio, and dental treatments as well as priority appointments with the Newpark Medical Centre. There is also going to be a joint fitness and weight management programme launched between both centres where Top Pro will provide the physical side of the programme and the medical centre will provide both the medical and nutritional side to the program, details of this launch will be available soon.
Classes available at Top Pro include: Kickboxing, MMA, karate, Jjjitsu, Thai boxing, boxing, judo, ladies’ fitness, group/team training, and personal training.
