Empower Colleges in Kilkenny are offering an innovative new course, a BSc in psychology. This course will suit both mature students who have an interest in psychology or want to change their career direction, along with school leavers who are interested in studying in this area.
Graduates of this three-year psychology degree will be ready to embark on a challenging and rewarding career in a variety of employment positions such as clinical, educational, health, and occupational psychology.
This exciting new course is being run in conjunction with the Open University, it is a blended learning course where students will attend classes every fortnight in Kilkenny from 7pm to 10pm on Thursday evenings and undertake additional work in their own time, which gives students the opportunity to earn while they learn. The course will commence on Thursday October 29.
Students will also have the opportunity to attend a number of innovative and exciting workshops on very cutting edge topics that will be of significant interest to those studying psychology. For example looking at the whole area of neuro linguistic programming and coaching, among others. There will also be work placement opportunities for all students.
Empower Colleges offer a variety of courses such as; the first master’s in NLP and coaching in Ireland, life and personal coaching diploma, Montessori teaching diploma, advanced supervision in childcare certificate, child psychology certificate, as well as short and long term business courses from customer service skills to executive management and coaching.
