A cycle in aid of the Castlecomer District Hospital day care centre is taking place from the Square in Castlecomer this Sunday October 18 at 9.30am.
Cycling enthusiasts are encouraged to go along to the event which offers two cycling routes to suit everyone’s ability.
A 100km loop and a 50km loop are being offered to the group who can decide which one best suits their ability and fitness.
The cycle will take in the towns and villages of the locality including Clogh and Abbeyleix.
Registration for the cycle takes place on Sunday morning at the Spar on the Square in the town between 9am and 9.30am. It costs €10 to enter and all proceeds go to Castlecomer day-care centre which does vital work for the patients of the centre on a daily basis with little resources.
All are welcome to attend. Bring food and water or money for breaks.
