The pumphouse gets a face lift

Last week The Pumphouse on High street underwent major surgery.

The busy hotspot, beloved by many, was transformed into an even more stylish and appealing pub.

The front of the establishment was ripped out and replaced with long elegant windows surrounded by painted black frames so that the whole front of the bar is now visible from the street. It has to be said that the bar is now so much brighter and seems a lot larger.

It is also a brilliant ploy to entice customers into the bar. Sunday nights in The Pumphouse are unforgettable, with regular crowds arriving to hear the talented band Barflies for a relaxing night to finish the weekend. Now that we can see the buzzing atmosphere from the street, it’s next to impossible to walk by.

The Advertiser spoke to two regular customers of the pub, Nicola Malone and Christina Fahy, who agreed that the changes made were a great improvement to the bar and that the electricity in the place has heightened.
