Oddsocks Revival keep the good times rolling

Fresh back from touring with the renowned act Alabama 3, Oddsocks Revival are the Sligo act that have been making a strong impression on the music scene since 2003.

They are hitting Kilkenny this weekend for one night only and the venue of choice is Kytelers.

A striking stage presence and blend of music styles has given them a solid rep as a band who will keep the good times rolling!

Over the years the lads have built up a strong set of original tunes and the past two years have seen the band develop a truly original, sound mixing, humbucking blues and dirty funk grooves.

Together with twin guitar leads and powerful four part vocal harmonies Oddsocks Revival have certainly set themselves apart from other present day bands.

With an eclectic genre mix, Oddsocks revival attract a dedicated following of groove lovers of all ages and always deliver to desired expectations.

Oddsocks Revival are influenced by all walks of music, the energy from a session in a pub, or at any festival campsite where guitars are floating about and the songs are played. To narrow it down a little they cite the blues greats including; Rory Gallagher, Stevie Ray Vaghaun, James Brown, John Lee Hooker, Son House, Muddy Waters, Led Zeppelin, Thin Lizzy and John Frusciante to name but a few as some of their musicial heros.

They play Kytelers this Friday evening. Tickets available from the bar or on the door. Doors open at 9pm.
