Those with a sweet tooth will be licking their lips when they pay a visit to the new Slip Sweet Shop - perfectly situated on the Butterlip, Kilkenny. The shop is owned by Brian Kenny who wanted to bring traditional sweet confectionery back into the Marble City.
Brian recognised the lack of traditional sweet shops in the city and felt nostalgic for his old boiled sweet days, where he would enjoy a quarter of apple drops from a jar and wanted to give that experience to the next generation. If you’re feeling the longing for some pear drops, bulls eyes, fudge, jelly beans, chocolate mice, plus much more then drop in today. Slip Sweet Shop not only sells yummy sweets it also has a wide selection of chocolate bars, soft drinks, and tasty ice cream cones. With Father’s Day this weekend why not give your dad a jar of sweets from the Slip Sweet Shop. The jars make fabulous gifts especially when packed with mouth watering sweets.
