Kilkenny’s first gay bar opens its doors tonight

After a successful year in Waterford Dignity 2 is now coming to Kilkenny.

The gay bar will open its doors to everyone tonight (May 29 ) at 8pm on Parliament Street in the venue that once played host to Kilkenny first and controversial lap-dancing club - which has since closed down.

Dignity 2 pride themselves on having a fun, energetic bar with live drag shows and entertainment seven days a week. Entertainment nights will include bingo, karaoke and theme nights ranging from beach parties, back-to-school discos and to country and western nights.

Also throughout the year watch out for big name acts and some of Ireland’s top drag performers who include: Jonna Ryde, Lady Bunny, Regina George, Blaithaid McGee, and Gloria Hole. Dignity 2 welcome everyone including heterosexual men and women.
