Pitman Training Kilkenny announced this week that along with other Pitman Training Centres in Ireland they are offering a free ‘PC Basics Course’ for people who have been made redundant this year.
Ted Creed of Pitman Training Kilkenny said “It is crucial that we get people retrained and back into the work force. We have recognised that there are many people may have spent years working in semi skilled positions such as factories etc that did not have any exposure to computers at work or in school. By offering this course in basic computer skills it will give encouragement to people who may feel they have little to offer or are at a loss as to where to start.”
Often problems arise when deciding which skills to train in, Mr. Creed also gave the following tips to help you take your future into your own hands and win back the confidence redundancy may have taken away.
